ORCID Register

You can skip this step if you already have an ORCID iD and have signed in within the pop-up window.

If you clicked on the “Register now” button, you’ll see a form where you will need to fill out the following:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Primary email (preferably a personal email account)
  • Additional email (May want to use NC State email address)
  • Password with at least one number and one alpha character

Select a visibility setting. If you select the “Everyone” option, you will still have the option to change the visibility on particular items. You maintain complete control of your ORCID profile and the visibility of any data point. For instance you can show or hide individual works.

Click on the “Register” button.
